Detecting principle

1.The formulated ink
The espcially formulated ink reacts to starch in paper and as normal banknote paper is starch free there is no chemical reaction. If when marked there is a permanent dark impression then the note is not genuine. If the mark disappears then the currency is real.

2.Ultraviolet light
Many international currencies are very sophisticated it is not easy for the general public to recognise or appreciate these.

However there is one common factor with all currencies throughout the world and that is the paper with which they are produced. This is a 100% cotton based fibre material that, unlike normal paper(wood pulp) does not reflect glow under a UV light beam.

It is thererfore easy to detect a counterfeit note, as this will have UV glow the same as ordinary paper.
